Four hours

Two lectures

My poor voice needs a rest, and so does my poor head. But instead I am debating with myself if a game like World of Warcraft is a hypertext or a stretchtext.

I think stretchtext. How about you?

Torill, can you explain what stretchtext is - with teaspoons?

Or am I both off topic and a noob? :)

I agree, Mark, but at the same time I find that what is commonly described as hypertext and what is commonly described as stretchtext are so different that to say it is the same is problematic. And when common usage divert from visions, sadly it is the usage that will win.

It might be that the text where we jump from one page to the next through links is just a type of hypertext and should have its own name, like for instance "jumptext", thus making hypertext the big box and "jumptext" and stretchtext two types of text fitting into the larger one.

thomas, read the Ted Nelson article on your MEV201 curriculum ;)

Or check the university of Oslo's example.
